Around 1,5 million cats are euthanized all over the US every year. It is very devastating to know that these unadoptable cats are facing the death row because of their behavior issues.
There are a lot of kill shelters in the US, but a state rescue organization from Washington has stepped up their game and decided to make a big change. What SpokAnimal came up with is a program where these unwanted cats are going to get a second chance in life. Their Farm Livin’ program consists of finding these cats jobs at farms and warehouses. All these cats need to do is keep the places where they work at rodent free.
Since 2009 SpokAnimal has saved more than 1,700 cats. They didn’t only give then a job, but also a chance to find a forever home.
Do you think this program should be used all throughout the US?
